Canceling Classes

While we understand that no program wants to cancel a class, if you do need to do so, CourseStorm's cancellation process is very simple!

In the Admin Menu, find the class you'd like to cancel.  You can do this in one of the following ways:

  • Search: Use the search field in the top-right corner of the admin bar and typing in the name of the class.  Click on the class name in the Search Results dropdown window.

  • Or Browse: Click on Classes from the admin menu and browse for the class. Click on the class name in the list to open the class details screen.

On the Class screen, click on the "Actions" button to see a list of available actions for this class.  One of your options will be to Cancel Class.  After clicking Cancel Class, you'll be given the opportunity to confirm your selection.

Each student on the roster of the canceled class will automatically receive an email notification of the cancellation.

Refunds for Canceled Classes

When a class is canceled, if there are any paid registrations that have yet to reach their payout date, you will have the option to issue full refunds, partial refunds, or no refund.  For registrations that were paid by check/cash, or card registrations that have already been paid out to your organization, you will need to refund those manually if refunds are desired.
