Abandoned Registrations - Automatic Reminders

Here's an interesting stat: almost 70% of online transactions across the web are abandoned before completion. Crazy, right? Thankfully, you use CourseStorm, which makes registering for classes impossibly simple resulting in a completion rate 2x better than the average website. But we're always looking for ways to be even more helpful.

We get it. Your registrants are interested in taking your classes, but sometimes life can get in the way. Maybe the registrant needed to speak with their spouse about scheduling. Or maybe a call or text message came in at just the wrong time. No matter the reason, we want to make it simple for potential students to complete their registrations. That's why we introduced automatic reminders for abandoned registrations.

Note: Abandoned Registration Reminders are not available when the Cart feature is enabled.

How does it work?

If a registration goes 24 hours without being completed, CourseStorm will automatically shoot the registrant a quick email. Nothing annoying. Nothing sales-y. Just a gentle reminder with a helpful link to continue right where they left off. It's that simple.

And from the research we've seen, it's not only simple – it's effective. By just adding a little email like this, some organizations saw a 10-20% increase in completed orders and, even better, they made the lives of their customers easier.

With one email, the student receives a gentle reminder that they were interested in registering, and you get the added benefit of another opportunity for an enrollment. Everyone wins!

Opting Out

We think this feature is so powerful and useful that we've enabled it by default.  However, we know that some organizations prefer a bit more control.  If that's you, worry no longer.  It's easy to opt out of these automatic emails by going to Settings > Notifications and unchecking the box next to Abandoned Registration Notifications.
