Attachments: 

It is possible to attach files to the various means of communication between you and your students, right in your CourseStorm Admin Menu.

The allowed document types include PDF documents, images, Microsoft Word documents, and Microsoft Excel documents.

Note: The system evaluates the document type, not just the file extension. Changing a file extension (such as from .txt to .doc) will not permit the file to be attached if the document type is not one of the allowed formats.

How it Works: 

You will see an “Attach a file” button in most text editors throughout CourseStorm. Text editors such as class descriptions, emails, and more will all display the “Attach a file” button when you are editing.

Click on “Attach a file”  and you will be prompted to select which file to attach. Just find your file on your computer and upload it! 

If you highlight text and then upload the file, the highlighted text will become the clickable link. Notice that “We have a fantastic” is highlighted in blue.

If no text is highlighted before uploading the file, the name of the file will appear, as the blue clickable link. 

What text editors can and can’t I attach files to? 

Can attach files: 

  • Marketing Emails

  • Course Description

  • Roster Emails 

  • Custom Registration Receipts 

  • Custom Reminder Emails 

Cannot attach files:

  • Intro Heading 

  • Intro Text 

There are so many possibilities for attaching documents and sharing information with your students will be that much easier if you decide to take advantage of this feature!
