Recording Payment for Check Registrations
If a student wants to register now and pay later, there are several ways to accommodate the request. If your program allows it, a student can opt to pay for class with cash or check. The student can then choose to send you cash, a check, or give you their credit card information at a later date.Â
If a student opts to pay with cash or check, they will appear in your classes roster with an indicator stating that they have not yet paid.
Â
Marking a student as paid:
Open the student's profile.Â
You can either go under Actions and click Pay… or in the bottom right corner of the screen where it says Pay… under "Payment Status."
Â
From there, you will have three options to mark the student as paid: Cash, Check, or Credit Card.Â
Marking paid with cash or check:Â
If you choose either the cash or check option, CourseStorm will assume that the student has delivered payment, and the red indicator will change to "Paid in Full."Â
Paying with a credit card:
If you select the option to pay with a credit card, you will be prompted to enter the student's payment information. Once you do so, their card will be charged the cost of the class they registered for.Â
This allows for more freedom in paying for classes for your students. Some students may anticipate paying with a check, but decide later on that a credit card is preferable. By changing payment methods through this feature, you can make your student's lives easier.
