How Do I Submit Evidence? / What Is Strong Evidence?

All evidence must be submitted before the provided deadline. Respond to the initial notification email and attach your files or send them in an email to support@coursestorm.com.

Strong evidence to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that the charge should be processed is essential to winning the dispute. Strong evidence includes:

  • Written statement from the student/cardholder stating that the charge is valid/authorized.

  • Written statement from the cardholder stating that they have contacted their bank to withdraw the dispute.

  • A waiver that shows the registrant agreed to your refund/cancellation policies AND a copy of those policies. The waiver may be a screenshot of the registration screen if they have to check a box to acknowledge the policies upon registration.

  • Sign-in sheets/signatures for in-person classes and events.

  • Other documentation that shows the registrant attended the class/event. This may include reviews from the registrant, reports/paperwork/art generated by the registrant, screenshots from virtual events that show the registrant’s screen, photos of registrant at the event, etc.

  • Copy of a refund check or documentation that another resolution has been reached (transfer to another class, credit for future class, etc.).

Class rosters (unless they include signatures from the attendees) are not strong evidence, but may be provided as supplemental evidence.


Accepted File Types and Best Practices:

Keep your evidence relevant and to the point. Your information may be printed out or faxed, so it must be legible in black and white and be clear enough to read or view any images.

  • Only PDF, JPG/JPEG and PNG file types are accepted. 

  • Use a 12 point font or higher

  • Highlight pertinent information with bold text, arrows, etc.

  • Avoid using color highlighting

  • Crop screenshots and circle or underline any key components

  • Include only the essential facts and precise information that supports your case

  • Do not include links to other documents - include the documents themselves

  • Do not include audio or video files - use screenshots

You can only submit one file for each evidence category, so you may need to combine information from different sources into a single document.  The categories are:

  • Customer communication

  • Customer signature

  • Service documentation

  • Receipt

  • Refund and cancellation policy

  • Shipping documentation

  • Duplicate charge documentation

  • Credit voucher

  • Government order (for classes cancelled due to COVID)

  • Terms disclosure

  • Other

Evidence can only be submitted ONCE, so make sure that you have thoroughly reviewed and included everything before sending the information to CourseStorm.
